Due Thursday, May 26, 2016
Part II - Video Assignment - Stock Footage
Due Date is June 1st for all 8th graders, Due Date for 7th Grade is June 3rd
First priority for students who are ready to shoot will go to 8th grade
This lesson will help you discover different ways to use stock footage in your videos effectively and while saving time.  Download the assignment sheet here for complete instructions.  Have areas that you have completed signed off so you will get points for those parts. You may work in video crews of 2 - 3 as long as each person has a specific(and equal)  responsibility in the production of the videos.  You will only have 2 periods to shoot the footage here at school.  You may use your phones, outside of school for additional footage, as long as you can export them as 1080p or 720p to a Quick Time file.  Here are the basic steps of the assignment, please check the assignment sheet for complete instructions:
  1. Watch the above video, take notes and complete the worksheet
  2. Choose a topic
  3. Before you shoot the footage - read through these instructions to make sure you are prepared to check out a video camera and know what you are going to be shooting.
  4. Your Video Crew - Choose wisely
  5. Shooting the Footage - You are shooting during the class period, if you need props think ahead and manage your time well.
  6. Formatting your Files - Each clip should be "camera ready", exported in 1080p or 720p as a Quick time file.  Be sure to add a description of what the clip represents in the file name (Example:  soccerball_on grass)
