Bridges
Coming up:
  • Begin creating your famous bridge to half-scale in Minecraft - You may not participate in Minecraft if you are not caught up in all assignments up to this point. (Thurs., April 2)
  • Final Assessment - You will build a bridge of your own design with the constraints you are given.

Bridge Tour
Now that you have completed your research, your drawing and your plan, you are ready to build your bridge in Minecraft.  One of the requirements will be to add education blocks along the way describing not only parts of the bridge, but also the history and the special facts on your bridge.  Today each person in your group will write a tour script using the information from your research and plan.  Each education block of “tour stop” should have at least one paragraph of relevant information.   You should have a minimum of 5 education blocks.  You grade will be determined by the quality and quantity of your blocks.

Your assignment is in STEAM Google Classroom, you can click on the link above to view it, but the assignment must be completed in Google Classroom.     Due Date is Friday, April 17, 2015     Drop Dead Date is Friday, April 29, 2015

Drawing
You have a building limit in Minecraft of 255 meters in height (each block is 1 meter squared).  So your drawing may have to be half scale.  1 minecraft block = 2 meters.
Click here for a link to a metric conversion tool - use it if your bridge is measured in feet/inches.  The final drawing must be in metric.
Research
Check this list for your assigned bridge - this is the bridge you will be researching
Your template for guiding your research is in Google Classroom and will be due Monday, March 30
Drop Dead Date for that assignment is April 13, 2015
