Sketchnoting
We are participating in #sketchCUE - 25 days of Sketch Note practice.  Each day is a different concept/image that we will try to draw to build our skills and the ability to draw quickly for note taking.
Why Sketchnote?
“Dual Coding Theory - proposed in the 1970’s by Allan Paivio, suggests that the brain processes information using two primary channels: verbal and visual.”  The Sketchnote Handbook by Mike Rohde
“Sketchnoting activates verbal and visual modes to capture concepts. YOUR WHOLE BRAIN is absorbed in hearing, synthesizing and seizing ideas.” “When your brain codes verbal and visual concepts together, it’s also building a visual map of what you are hearing, seeing, and thinking.”
The Sketchnote Handbook by Mike Rohde
“Engaging your whole brain has other positive effects, like improving your memory and recall.”
The Sketchnote Handbook by Mike Rohde

T1 Assignments

Egyptian Comic

In Google Classroom, your assignment is to create an Egyptian Comic.
1.  Read your assignment and highlight your topic
2.  Write out your six research questions and answer the three questions that are on the paper. Your answers should be in a different color.
3.  Research and Save Sources - Save all of your sources for research and images on a separate document you create called Egypt Sources.
4. Once your research is complete, search for pictures to illustrate your comic. Save them in a folder on your desktop called "Egypt Pics"
5. Once you have all your research and pictures, build your comic.  Read the assignment for specifics on how it will be graded.
